President Trump … shifted gears on Thursday and for the first time warned the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold off new settlement construction….
The shift in position came hours after Mr. Trump met briefly with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
I'm laughing. He really does listen only to the last voice he hears. At each minute's beginning he's an utter void, ready to be filled with whatever one wishes to fill him with.
That his "shift" on settlements was the traditionally intelligent one isn't the point (he might have just as easily shifted in the other direction). The point is that Trump's mind is as empty as they come — dangerously empty, since the next last voice he hears on, say, Iran, could come from a warmonger.
