My computer came back up (thanks to repeated reboots, I guess?). Thus I was determined to write about something today; I just didn't know what. Trump resolved my indecision by staging a press conference with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau -- in which I learned, right off the bat, that the U.S. and Canada have been productive allies for some time. Well I'll be damned *** Good God! he's still bragging about his "very large electoral vote" *** I have noticed before how deferential Trump is in bilateral press conferences. I assume his deference comes from his deep insecurities -- his knowing that he knows that he doesn't know what he's talking about? *** Another briefest of brief press conferences from our inveterate ignoramus. What did he take? Three, four questions? That was that. And as MSNBC immediately began reporting, the press conference was brief because Trump went out of his way to choose interrogators who would ask no real questions. And that's the way it's to be, for four years.
