This is remarkable. George Will essentially endorses the Democrat, Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam, in Virginia's gubernatorial race.
"Today’s campaign dramatizes the difficult calculation confronting people who want the Republican Party restored as a vehicle for conservatism but who know that this requires expunging the political style" of Trump, which has been virulently absorbed by the party's candidate, Ed Gillespie.
"If Gillespie wins," concludes Will, "Republicans elsewhere will conclude that the derangement of their party does not hinder its prospering."
