The Trump admin gets sillier by the day. From Newsweek:
DHS ANNOUNCES 'STRENGTHENED NORTHERN BORDER STRATEGY' AMID GROWING TENSIONS BETWEEN U.S. AND CANADA
With tensions between the U.S. and Canada on the rise, the Department of Homeland Security has announced a "strengthened" Northern Border Strategy that it claims will help "combat terrorism" and "help facilitate travel and trade" at its border with Canada.
Republican strategist Rick Wilson has jokingly labeled Canada "the Maple Peril." (Actually, he stole that; in the early 2000s, pharmaceuticals imported from Canada earned that appellation, quite seriously.)
