Nice! Like a balance of terrrrr, only a balance of bribery! The Corporations will still beat US but we get a little in anyways.
Anything (ANYthing) received by a sitting politician that isn't his paycheck is a bribe and that includes promises of employment in the future. If it's true that you "gotta dance with the one that brung ya", then we must be the ones that pay our public officials. That simple.

"Preliminary news reports on what lies in store, however, would indicate that the public is about to be disappointed."
PM, I'm afraid this is true not only for lobbyist/politico corruption, but about everything else from GeeDuhhbya's crimes to the illegal invasion & occupation of Iraq, to ... to ... to ... Same dance, different dance partner. The more things change, the more they remain absolutely the same.

Instead of this "modest" proposal for conscience bribery division, why doesn't the U.S. implement Clean Money/Clean Elections systems of full public funding of election campaigns such as those working well in Arizona and Maine. Under this voluntary approach, candidates can qualify to run for office using public funds as opposed to relying upon legalized bribes from special interests. The majority of Republicans and Democrats in AZ and ME choose the clean money options and they are increasingly winning. 10 out of 11 statewide bodies in AZ and 85% of Maine's legislatures are folks who are not beholden to any major campaign donor. It's a sensible, practical, and proven solution to the major problem of money in politics. Learn more at
