"Ineffable" is one of those superlatives whose genuine meaning should prevent its casual use. But this passage, from The Caucus, begs for it:
Democratic lawmakers "agreed to changes [in the 9/11 responders bill] demanded by the conservative lawmakers, who raised concerns about the measure’s cost."
Six or seven billion dollars.
Conservative concerns.
The measure's cost.
After Iraq, after the Medicare Rx plan, throughout Afghanistan.
It just sort of leaves one speechless, does it not?
