The assessment of President Obama's war strategy "cited some signs that the United States and its allies have halted or reversed inroads by the Taliban in Afghanistan and strengthened the ability of Afghan forces to secure their country, but acknowledged that the gains are fragile and could be easily undone unless more progress is made towards hunting down insurgents operating from havens in neighboring Pakistan."
And unless youthful Talibaners fail to grow to Taliban maturity; and unless the tactical effectiveness of the Taliban's village-intimidation program suddenly ceases; and unless this artificial nation of endless tribal warfare doesn't also implode in a fiery abyss of "governmental" incompetence and corruption; and, not least, unless Afghanistan fails to bolt from the 13th to 21st century.
Other than that, not to worry. Everything's proceeding nicely.
