You'll love this. I received first notice of the House GOP's panicky playbook via a TeaParty.org email, which linked me to the excited source itself, NewsMax.com:
Democrats have decided to frighten seniors into believing their Medicare benefits will be lost under Republican budget plans, senior GOP Congressman Steve King contends in an exclusive Newsmax.TV interview.
Exclusive. Is it really that hard to get an interview with the ubiquitously blathering Steve King?
At any rate, King himself had this to say:
There is no group of people that is easier to scare with untruthful statements than the seniors in America. The older people get the more likely they are to be scared by just plain, blatant dishonesties that are perpetrated on this subject matter.
So King proceeded with blatant dishonesties:
Seniors in America should remember that President Obama and Obamacare cut Medicare by $532 billion – that’s over a half a trillion dollars that they took out of the proceeds that would be used to provide Medicare services to seniors.
Looks like Paul Ryan's objective of non-demagoguery is playing out splendidly.
"There is no group of people that is easier to scare with untruthful statements than the seniors in America."
Yep, and Republicans should know ~ death panels, anyone?

Just when you think the hypocrisy couldn't possibly get any more blatant...............

Sorry, little Stevie, I am a senior on Medicare and you do not scare me...but you sure piss me off..you and your other neo-con's. Did anyone ever tell you that we (seniors) vote and in every election??? How about the first to give up all their benefits are the members of Congress whose most members are millionaires...how about they all work as volunteers for the good of the country. Actually that is what I do with my free time.
