Because Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS is merely a benevolent "social welfare advocacy organization," rather than a defamatory mud-slinger and vulgar corrupter of any vestigial political ethics, we may never know who singularly, anonymously, and legally wrote it a check last year for $22,500,000.
But someone did.
Which means my aggregate 2012 political contributions, if I recall the total correctly, stacked up to an amount worth 0.0000044% of just one of Mr. Rove's one-time contributions. And mine were somewhat painful, whereas Rove's contributor's was probably little more than petty cash.
American democracy.
