The House Republican leadership--the We-ish the People's top assemblage of limitless love for individual liberty and, usually, atomistic chaos--wants to ...
change GOP Conference rules to punish members who do not support the party’s nominee [for speaker] during a floor vote. A lawmaker who bucks the Republicans’ choice ... could lose committee assignments--or worse.
I don't know what "worse" means, but my, oh my, how abominably ironfisted of the liberty-loving leadership to issue, or even dream of issuing, such an ominously Stalinist diktat.
Why, I can almost imagine posters of Speaker Boehner smeared in Joker-like makeup, sneering at those tea-party proles who are forever demanding presidential "leadership," but abhor their party's own.
So listen up, you tea partiers. You best strike up the posters again and protest this in-the-works, communist-cryptofascist takeover of your beloved chaos. Otherwise, tyranny! is just around the corner.
I would be curious to know what "worse" means in this case. They won't be on the NEXT Benghazi select committee?
