Yep. You can indeed seek out more viewpoints on the internet. And that could be a good thing. But the thing about "more viewpoints" is that there are more of YOUR viewpoints to choose from, too.

Heck, I freely acknowledge that I'm guilty of this. I don't read the preferred "news" sources of the right wing. But it's because conservatism in this country has gone utterly batshit and their "sources" (even the supposedly smart ones like the Reformicon frauds)are willfully and proudly living in a parallel dimension that bears no resemblance to the real world and is deeply destructive to the country's political fabric. If that makes me biased, so be it.
