Free from the nuisances of more than two weeks of hospital life, this morning I had cable news on for a mere but uninterrupted 15 minutes before I erupted in vocal, anti-Trump invectives. I was positively sputtering at the television screen as B-rolls of Trump signing ignorant, vicious, hateful, moronically nativist executive orders played on.
"We'll soon be a nation of 10 million Anne Franks," I mentioned to a friend who is caring for me in my convalescence — and my friend, who's not particularly political, quite agreed.
A 2020 presidential primary question — perhaps the first conceived — also occurred, and the question could apply to both Republican and Democratic presidential candidates: "If you could return in time and strangle baby Donald in his cradle, would you?"
(Before some right-wing sourpuss alleges nefarious implications, please note that the above question is purely historical in nature; there is no suggestion whatsoever as to any contemporary act.)
But he won. So you have to abandon every shred of decency or principal you possess. And you can't say bad things about him either. Because he won. And that's what the Republicans did when Obama won. Right? You wouldn't want to be Un-American would you?

Speaking historically, and only historically, I'm hoping for a new generation of "disgruntled office seekers."

I wonder how many of his underpaid, overworked nannies asked themselves that same question about the little brat. He acts like a baby now, so it's probably not too late.

I need two other time traveling volunteers. Together we will be the draft board that rejects Donald Trump's spurious draft dodging excuses. Problem ethically solved.

You mean go back to '68 and send him to Vietnam and take our chances? I'm for that.

Worse case scenario is that he learns the military school he was sent to was not the same as the military.

I'd go back a bit further and deny Der Pumpkinfuhrer's grandfather entry into the United States. Those Bavarians were terrorists, you know. Problem solved.

I think his own troops would frag him.
