I've no doubt that Nigerians, Ethiopians and Tanzanians (that's TanZANians) will be delighted to learn that the president of the United States did not, after all, say their countries are "shitholes."
No, he instead said that their countries are shithouses, which may seem a matter of semantic insignificance to you, but to right-wing imbeciles it's a difference worthy of note.
"During a panel discussion on ABC’s 'This Week,' [National Review's Rich] Lowry explained that his sources have told him that instead of saying 'shithole,' the president actually said 'shithouse countries.'"
This then permits Trumpian enablers who attended the meeting in question, such as the freshly installed secretary of homeland security, to say that they did not hear the president use that particular — "shithole" — word.
And so Republican honor and uprightness are once again defended by Trumpian kakistocrats in a way that makes even the worst of bad African governments look like models of virtue.
