The cracker-barrel senator from South Carolina, Lindsey Graham, reportedly believes that Trump is — or rather, was — lacking options for the unbridled destruction of the United States.
According to CNN, at dinner last night the folksy wanker explained to the cretinous president what "a good deal [would] look like," as congressional negotiators seek to stave off yet another government shutdown, this one in just two weeks plus. Lindsey's idea was, Why not attach border-wall funding to an increase in the debt ceiling, which is officially reached on March 1st.
As CNN put it: "[Trump would be daring] Democrats to block funding for the border wall and risk sending the country into default in the process." To which, the cretinous president seemed to be receptive. "I don't speak for him," said the cracker-barrel senator, but "I think the President basically believes that his priority of barrier funding can be achieved solving other problems also."
This — the potential of a globe-melting, economy-exploding, U.S. debt crisis — was Lindsey's ingenious blueprint for solving, nay, not creating, "other problems." He added, "Why not just expedite things?"
Politico's Playbook offered a splendid answer to Lindsey's query: "This seems like such an epically bad idea. The debt limit is the most dangerous legislative tool Congress can play with."
The high-wire acts these buffoons repeatedly perform will someday send them crashing — and splattering. While that would indeed be the solution to at least two of our problems, the much bigger problem is that they'll take us down with them.
