....to see. Importantly, Ambassador Sondland’s tweet, which few report, stated, “I believe you are incorrect about President Trump’s intentions. The President has been crystal clear: no quid pro quo’s of any kind.” That says it ALL!

Now why didn't President Nixon say that to then-Chairmen Peter Rodino of the House Judiciary Committee? He could have saved himself a lot of grief by expressing his genuine sorrow at the "unfortunate" composition of the committee and by denying his culpability — as well as changing the subject — for a crime not at all being prosecuted by the committee.
Perhaps had Nixon's base been as preposterously thickheaded as Trump's, and had Nixon been in possession of a national news network, as well as broadcast thugs and bullies such as Limbaugh, Savage and Levin, he really could have snubbed the pesky Rodino with impunity.
And if I'm ever indicted, I'll simply mimic Trump's demonstration of universal legal impunity by informing the court that I find it to be one of unfortunate kangarooism, one of criminal disregard for my constitutional rights, and one neglectful of my conspicuous truths — so, with the greatest respect, Your Honor, go fuck yourself.
