For his next tattoo I recommend Trump on his ass.

Or maybe Trump's fat ass tattooed on his ass.

Memories! Misty water colored memories of the way Rolling Stone just about got themselves sued out of existence by publishing a fabricated story about a college rape. In particular assaulting the woman on that campus charged with investigating such things and accusing her of a cover up. Anybody who wants a refresher about how that turned out is welcome to do a google search. They employed Matt Taibbi for Christ's sake. And that guy makes Glenn Greenwald look like a paragon of objectivity.

Oh dear. Poor Trump. It seems mean old Nancy has decided the House needs to investigate all these firings and interference in the justice system on behalf of Trump's buddies. I love that woman.

Well I hope to God Nancy finally grows a pair and starts handing down Inherent Contempt charges when the White House stonewalls.

I am guessing she will in the course of things in the run up to the election. It will be fascinating to watch Barr try to stop her. I have to say she handled the whole impeachment thing beautifully. Donald Trump is impeached yet remains Donald Trump. The Democrats were unified by the attempt even though there was never a possibility that the Republican senators would convict. And now they are regularly going to have to defend every shitty and stupid thing he does. Every day a new albatross. And every day new things Republican senators running for re-election will have to defend.

Seriously, who could have asked for a better outcome?

Btw I was wondering myself why Nancy wasn't more aggressive in pursuing legal recourse to Trump's claims of immunity and denial of requested witnesses and documents. The law blog guys, devious bastards that they are are, came to the rescue. If she had most would be denied and the few allowed would have probably have been useless but taken the obstruction of Congress charge off the impeachment table. And that is the one on which Romney chose to convict. Something I would never have thought of myself. Nothing to stop her now though is there?

I would have voted with Romney on the obstruction charge. It was a weak case. Yes its weakness was caused by predictably interminable court delays, but that argument can't wash in even a quasi-legal setting. It should have been folded into the abuse of power article. Then Romney (and I) would not have had a conflict of conscience.

Point taken. Although I can't say my own conscious was particularly troubled by either charge. It would have been interesting perhaps to see what would happen if Trump just declined to recognize a court ruling outright that went against him. Scary but interesting. I am satisfied with the new media ground before us. Trump only fights for Trump. And all those GOP Senators have nothing but shitty ends of the stick to hold.

OMG. Et tu Bill Barr?
