I continue reading in the press and hearing on cable news that Biden's transition team is being severely hobbled by Trump's refusal to coordinate his prescriptive actions on the covid pandemic with the desperate information needs of the soon newly inaugurated president's administration members.
Although I enjoy the hits the sitting president is taking for his pouting-toddler intransigence, I'm as certain as a determined Nuremberg prosecutor that the Trump regime possesses no — none, zilch — planning on how or what it might do to proceed. It cares as much about covid's mass extermination of America's old and young as Adolf Eichmann did about Jews.
Even the notion that Trump's broken, minor Wunderkinder, sitting alongside him in the shelled-out bunker, might be fixated on going forth with protecting no-nothing Americans from illness and possibly death is as realistic as Hitler, in his last hours, instructing his henchmen on how to rebuild Germany, which had "betrayed" him.
I am unaware of any law prohibiting an incoming administration from seeking information from domestic or foreign pharmaceutical firms on how the distribution of life-saving vaccines might be coordinated, which unquestionably Biden's transition team is doing. Seeing Trump get whacked daily in the press for his never-die belligerence is a pleasure, for sure, although I'm convinced his infantile mulishness will make as much difference as his unpresidential, absence of covid leadership has to date.
