Below is an email that awaited me in my inbox this morning. The sender, one Michael Averko, is not a Russian bot. His name appears in numerous Google links — referenced always as "Michael Averko is a New York based independent foreign policy analyst" — and he was cited in a 28 July 2020 NY Times article, "Russian Intelligence Agencies Push Disinformation on Pandemic," in this passage:
"Michael Averko, a contributor to the [Strategic Culture Foundation. which has ties to the Russian intelligence agency SVR, which is being investigated by the FBI], did not return a request for comment, but he said in a recent mass email to reporters that he had been visited by the F.B.I. Mr. Averko said he told the F.B.I. that he did not know about any ties between the foundation and Russian intelligence, but that he doubted they existed."

I sent this reply to Averko:
"How much do you get paid to peddle horseshit for Putin?"
He responded moments later:
"Mr Carpenter,
"Who pays for your pro-Kiev regime bullshit?
It's good to know my Russia-Ukraine War articles are aggravating the likes of vile, genocide-supporting minds such as Michael Averko's.
