The FIFA World Cup was a bit off about one of Japan's "greatest wins" — they lost to Costa Rica 1-0 — but the team's fans attending the game certainly won the hearts of the world afterward. They cleaned up their section of the stadium.

Said Eiji Hattori, from Tokyo: "It’s a sign of respect for a place. This place is not ours, so we should clean up if we use it. And even if it is not our garbage, it’s still dirty, so we should clean it up."
Added the team's coach, Hajime Moriyasu: "For Japanese people, this is just a normal thing to do. When you leave a place, you have to leave it cleaner than it was before."
Wow.
