Rep. GAETZ proposed an amendment to the committee rules requiring the pledge. Nadler replied that they already pledge every day on the House floor. Rep. Mike Johnson responded that most members don't attend the pledge on the floor.

Then CICILLINE got involved, offering a furhter amendment to say "the pledge shall not be led by an individual who supported an insurrection against the government of the United States in any way."

JORDAN now says the rule won't force anyone to say the Pledge. It'll just have someone lead the pledge at each committee meeting.

Now Chip ROY and Deb ROSS getting into it. Ross takes exception to Roy suggesting she was opposed to the House saying the Pledge altogether.
