That is, I don't understand its popularity.
Here, for instance, is a splendid example of its exalted thinking:
The left hates women.

I didn't recognize the name "Kevin Sorbo." I Googled the guy. I did recognize his face, that of a Hollywood actor. But here's the thing. This idiot has 1.6 million followers on Twitter.
Furthermore, Sorbo's tweet garnered 866 comments (at the time of this writing), 2,900 "likes," and more than 63,000 "impressions."
What does his tweet even mean? "The left hates women." That may be a plucky, venturesome opinion, but so is that of tatterdemalion streetcorner prophets holding signs proclaiming "The End Is Near."
The only thing both messages tell you is that the authors' Thorazine Rx has expired.
And yet while others on the street pass by the streetcorner prophets with eyes fixed elsewhere and rather warily, Mr. Sorbo has 1.6 million people willing to fixate on his abbreviated ravings.
I don't get it. I just don't get it.
