Straight from The Wall Street Journal's "EXCLUSIVE: Justice Department Told Trump in May That His Name Is Among Many in the Epstein Files," behold the more pertinent facts (to which I limit myself here because I just finished writing an 800-word piece elsewhere, and I'm pooped):
When Justice Department officials reviewed what Attorney General Pam Bondi called a "truckload" of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein earlier this year, they discovered that Donald Trump's name appeared multiple times, according to senior administration officials....
Details of Bondi’s meeting with Trump haven’t been previously reported....
In May, Bondi and her deputy informed the president at a meeting in the White House that his name was in the Epstein files, the officials said....

They also told Trump that senior Justice Department officials didn’t plan to release any more documents....
Trump said last week in response to a journalist’s question that Bondi hadn’t told him that his name was in the files.
"Trump’s supporters," continues the Journal, "claimed that the documents would expose global elites" with well-known names — like maybe or most likely which is to say certainly even one whose name is really, really well-known and yet the culprit persists, unshackled, in his national pestilence.
The story's only surprise? For once, by God, Trump's supporters were right.
